In keeping with her desire to constantly learn and become the best possible portrait painter she can be, Gillian attends Art Journey, Tim Cunningham’s Florida based online art school. This commitment involves at least 15 hours a week of tuition and practice.
When asked, she happily created this short promotional video visually explaining the positive impact of learning to paint landscapes as a beginner as a means of improving her approach to portraiture. The alternative subject matter forced an increased reliance on the fundamental concepts of drawing, value, edge, temperature, and colour.
